Dear Mama-Yogis,

Today, I’m excited to share a special message and one of my favorite text passages from the book manuscript I have been crafting. This message is dedicated to my little Mikko Baby, who turns ten today—no longer a baby but in my heart, he will always stay my little treasure. The lessons he’s taught me are invaluable, and what I’m sharing today is just one of them. I hope these words resonate with you, sparking reflection on your own extraordinary life, which, in its ordinariness, is a profound expression of Living Yoga. Whether or not you’re a mother, the essence here holds true for anyone seeking the extraordinary in the perfection of life.

Embracing Life’s Perfect Imperfections

Excerpt from my Book Manuscript dedicated to my son Mikko and to you:

Yoga is Your Life

We often seek extraordinary achievements, thinking they’ll bring something special—a perfect job, partner, figure. We think that once we realize our true nature, everything will be different. Yet in all this, we forget that nothing ultimately can touch or define us, and that our true nature is already happy and serene all the time, whether we experience it or not.

Life is perfect the way it is! With all its mind storms and heartaches and lessons that come our way. Some things seem cruel, and we don’t have answers for them. But there is always a way. If we hold on to the light within ourselves, we are guided, and we will be fine. It might not be immediately apparent, but if we keep a broader view of it all, we can see the perfection of it all shimmer through like a hidden pearl obstructed by a shell in the mud.

Looking at my two sons, I get the chance to see two world wonders every day.

I often soak in the moments I have with them, well-aware that they will be gone, living their own lives, sooner than I think. They won’t be that small and cute and dependent on me like they are now. They grow each day a little bit more into their independence, and my role as a mother, even though it will always be a part of me as long as I live, has its natural limits. I know what a gift my two boys are and also what a challenge. I know what they demand of me and also what they give back.

It is on you and me as mothers to see the life we live as a daily wonder, even in moments of difficulty. It is on you and me to be Mama-Wonder-full!

Integrating Ayurveda & Meditation Into Daily Living

Ayurveda, Yoga, Meditation Are Not Separate from Life

I found notes from my time when I lived as staff in a Yoga ashram in California (I was intent on becoming a Yogic monk then):

“Yoga is not separate from life. Yoga is life. You teach Yoga, you teach life.”

Back then, I was fascinated by these words, but I didn’t really know what they meant. Now I do. Now these three sentences are my life. As a mother navigating daily challenges, I’m an ordinary human being living Yoga as life itself. I am going through the same challenges you are going through every single day. I am not what you would imagine an awakened Yogi looks and behaves like. First, I am a woman, not a man. I am Austrian, not Indian. I wear Western-style clothes. Furthermore, I meditate daily but don’t give darshans (blessings) and only do pujas (ritual ceremonies) occasionally with private clients. Secondly, and most importantly, I still experience mind storms and emotional turbulences as you do, and I am not always calm, centered, and managing to keep it all together all the time.

I am a fantastically ordinary human being and yet wonderfully free in all of it.

The ordinariness of this mundane life is my day-to-day Yoga practice. All of it is. Not just the daily 30 to 60 minutes of asana and meditation time that I manage to carve out of my seemingly all-consuming daily schedule. It is not even my daily work as Ayurveda-Yoga coach and teacher that entitles me to call myself a Yogi. The result of my thirty years of searching on the path of Yoga and other spiritual teachings has led me to see:

It is all so extraordinarily ordinary. I am living Yoga as life itself.

My message to you is,and please yell these out loud in your mind while reading:

  •           You can be the mother you always wanted to be.
  •           You can live the marriage you’ve always wanted.
  •           You can pursue your passion and work in your dream career.
  •           AND you can continue on the path of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Self-realization.

It may not align with traditional Yogic practices in an ashram, transcending responsibilities. No! You live Yoga and life itself as it expresses through you, your family, and your unique calling. This synergy is Yoga.

You can live an extraordinary-ordinary life.
Your Life.
Your Yoga.
Your Awakening, to what it means to be alive.

You can grow personally, professionally, and spiritually, especially when you are a mother or parent. Yoga and Meditation aren’t about escaping life’s challenges but using them to grow. The first step is to start with yourself, pause, and appreciate in gratitude: Everyday life is truly the greatest wonder!

A Yogi is powerful in a pure, loving, and all-encompassing way. So are you. Live your life as Living Yoga, knowing you can achieve everything. Even extraordinary achievements! The only limit is listening to limiting beliefs and the fear of your small self.

I’m here to help you discover the wisdom within you, connected to the source of life, and to have the courage to listen to it guiding you though your unique extraordinary-ordinary life! We use ancient practices of Ayurveda, Yoga, and meditation, combined with modern coaching tools.

  •           Ayurveda is your roadmap to health and highest potential.
  •           Yoga is your guide to connect with your true nature.
  •           Meditation is your goal to be present and awake in everything you do.

The ultimate goal is to realize the truth of who you are and live your health
—your true nature.

Sharing this message required courage, and I hope it empowers you more than it scares you. It comes from love and appreciation for life and the path of Yoga.

In the next newsletter, we’ll delve into practical tips on living your holistic well-being through Ayurveda, exploring what this ancient science has in store for you.

Wishing you a day filled with love and serenity,
